The Horror of Grammar and the Grammar of Horror
One gloomy fall in the late 1900s, three insidious forces entered my life at the exact same moment, leading to a season of sorrow and fear the likes of which I have never experienced since. I was a college student, fresh-faced, innocent, and enjoying my first taste of intellectual freedom. Like one of H.P. This week I was lucky enough to cross paths with the creative mind of Jan Parker. I discovered that her involvement in the arts community past and present is extraordinary, that the more you are involved, the better artist you become, and that community is the silent partner of all our artistic endeavors. Her current involvements include NCWN, NC Writers' Conference, the Authors Guild, the Arts Council of Carteret County, Bank of the Arts Craven County, the Renegades Writers, the Wildacres Artist in Residency Selection Committee and Fiction Editor for Main Street Rag. Come out to Reed’s in Morehead City on September 21 from 4:00 pm - 6:00

I love the summer and try to refrain from talking about the atmospheric moisture content. I don’t even like to speak the words relative humidity, lest they overpower me, but July and August of 2023 have wrestled me into a choke hold, demanding that I notice them
